What is the Desjardins insurance?
Desjardins Insurance is the largest financial cooperative in North America and an institution that has been involved in the development of modern Quebec for over 120 years. With more than 48,000 talents, Desjardins is an ocean of expertise and possibilities that allows each person to reach their full potential.
Desjardins is also a company that is close to the values of the younger generation: a social impact fund of more than $100 million for women and young people in developing countries, a carbon neutral company since 2017, investment products that are 100% free of oil and gas investments… the list is long! Let’s also mention the Youth Advisory Committee, made up of 12 people between the ages of 18 and 30 who are consulted on all of Desjardins’ major decisions.
Your team
You will be part of an agile, self-managed team made up of a dozen interns from various Montreal universities with a wide variety of profiles and skills. For example, past teams have co-created a virtual reality application to visit Desjardins’ offices, a video game to educate young people about saving money, and even a blockchain-based solution to recognize their colleagues’ good deeds!
Your role will be to bring UX expertise to your team: user needs, information architectures, design thinking, Ux research, personas, usability, interaction design and experience maps… These are all exciting topics that you will master at the end of your experience at Desjardins. Don’t worry, a team of experts in these fields will accompany you and help you improve your skills from the beginning to the end of your internship.
