- Alumni Engagement Manager with Aus4Skills Vietnam
- Full time for one year, with the possibility of extension
- Hanoi, Vietnam with regional travel as required
The Program
The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam to access and use high level professional and technical knowledge, skills and competencies, to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people-to-people and institutional links and therefore strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
The goals are underpinned by the principle that gender equality, disability and social inclusion are integrated into all Aus4Skills activities, which are organised into five main components as follows:
- Australia Awards Scholarships
- Alumni Engagement
- Capacity Building for Higher Education
- Promoting Industry Linkages in Vocational Education and Training
- Vietnam Australia Centre, a new initiative to foster leadership and policy development
Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
The Position
The Alumni Engagement Manager leads and manages alumni engagement and support for Aus4Skills and has a significant role in achieving the program’s development and diplomacy objectives.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing an effective alumni engagement and support plan in accordance with the program’s goal, objectives and strategies. This involves managing alumni communications, relationship-building and activities, ensuring alignment with the Australian Government’s Australian Alumni in Vietnam 2022-26 Strategy.
The Person
Postgraduate degree(s), preferably from an Australian university, in communications, media, marketing, public relations, human resources or equivalent professional experience.
The successful candidate will have professional experience in the planning and managemetn of teams or projects involving alumni, education, training, communications or stakeholder relationship management. They will have experience with planning, coordinating and implementing a variety of events, including networking functions, seminars, training activities and conferences. Excellent analytical capabilities and writing and communication skills in English language are essential. The successful candidate will also have experience with and knowledge of the Australian university system and the Vietnamese education system.
This position is locally engaged and reserved for National Citizens of Vietnam
