This is a regional role based in Singapore. You will be part of the Regional Business Development (RBD) department, reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager, driving the growth of the business in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region with prioritised markets including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Key job responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Conduct research on prioritised markets and potential partners, with the aim of successfully setting up and / or expanding our operations in those markets, via organic or inorganic growth
- Perform analysis and conduct due diligence on data provided by local teams and / or potential partners / service providers, identify trends and provide actionable insights to the BD department
- Developing business plans / proposals / case studies / presentation slides and any other related documents such as preparation of tender documents, contracts, NDAs, MOUs, etc
- Execute and project manage approved BD-related initiatives, which may be strategic (business partnerships, M&A initiatives, value creation) or operational e.g. pricing models, packages
- Manage at least one major expansion / growth project owned by the BD team, which require strong coordination across different functions (e.g. Operations, Finance, Legal, Sales & Marketing) and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. local / overseas entities, business partners, vendors, lawyers, consultants), making sure projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and within budget
- Develop a detailed project plan and track progress against objectives / KPI set;
- Facilitate regular business / update sessions with working teams / required stakeholders;
- Identify, manage and escalate any key risks / issued promptly to management;
- If required, provide hands-on experience to assist working teams in execution;
- Whenever available, highlight opportunities for acceleration of project timeline / success;
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation (e.g. spreadsheets, diagrams, playbooks)
- Participate in any other ad-hoc duties, as required. Candidate may be required to manage multiple projects / assignments at a time
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent; with practical experience in Project Management and Business Operations
- At least 3-4 years of working experience in business development / strategy, with at least 1 year of project / stakeholder management experience
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English
- Experience in financial modelling and analysis is a strong plus
- Ability to network and nurture relationships with service providers, suppliers, customers, and advisers
- Competent in at least Microsoft Office & Google Office Suite, e.g. good in functions such as vlookup, sum-ifs, pivot table etc & comfortable with handling large datasets; macros and programming skills is a bonus
- Curious, proactive, meticulous, good team player with a sense of humour and enjoys working with people
- Ability to work independently, with integrity, confidentiality, maturity and within deadlines
- Any of this is a plus – Interest or prior experience in the healthcare industry, M&A experience, Management Consulting experience
- Willingness to travel overseas for projects / assignments when required (subject to relevant COVID-19 rules and restrictions)
