Get to know the Role
- Perform competitive monitoring, market research and analysis to keep up to date with current market trends, and identify and act on commercial opportunities for GrabMart
The Day-to-Day Activities:
- Track and analyze what’s working and not working to the level of subcategories, understanding the reason behind the performance
- Identify what needs to be done to improve the performance of the business, both qualitative and quantitative research to the merchants
- Source, build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Coordinate with Suppliers, Grab Marketing and Grab Operations to plan promotional campaigns, forecast demand, implement and to secure consistent availability
- Propose and implement changes to refine processes, build/maintain a knowledge base and drive operational process improvements to enable the delivery of a high standard of operations
- Lead project management from initiation to closure
- The role has a mix of strong curiosity, braveness to assume and validate the assumptions, and high level of detail
- Roll-up your sleeve mentality is critical as both the role and the team are consist of people who are able to work independently and in team simultaneously.
The Must-Haves:
- Bachelor (or above) degree in Business/ Management or equivalent
- 3 years of relevant experience in managing FMCG, supermarket (e.g. Fresh Produce/Essential Products), or e-commerce categories is a plus
- Experience in logistics or warehousing is preferred
- A track record of driving meaningful impact in fast-paced enterprises / new-age technology companies.
- Comfortable with managing data and able to perform analysis (e.g. to solve business problems)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across the internal and external organization
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong analytical and planning skills
- Detailed orientated, organised and able to prioritise
- You must be a self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure
- Insightful understanding of the Vietnamese grocery market will be a plus.
