We are looking for a Community Manager that wants to be an integral part of our team.

The role

We are looking for a Community Manager that has experience and an interest in building a collaborative community for tech entrepreneurs, partners and mentors. The person will be a part of the Tech Hub team at RunwayFBU that actively works with running our community, orchestrating events and building a portfolio of services, partners and mentors. You will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the Tech Hub, and be a contact person for our members. This includes on-boarding new members, and making sure that they have what they need. You will also be in involved in organizing events, workshops and other activities to promote and cultivate our community.

The role is primarily operational, but also requires the ability think strategically. The ideal candidate has great people skills, is service-oriented, and is able to think strategically in an operational role. The role requires physical presence in the Tech Hub, but it is possible to have home-office occasionally. The role reports to the Head of the Tech Hub.

The core responsibilities

  • Be a contact person for our Tech Hub members and facility service providers.
  • Office management of our Tech Hub; ensuring a smooth day-to-day operation of the Tech Hub.
  • Take lead on providing new members a stellar onboarding experience.
  • Orchestrate and contribute to events, summer parties, julebord, etc.
  • Discover and establish new initiatives, programs, mentorships, and events in our community.

The ideal candidate profile

  • 1-5 years of experience with building collaborative communities, hospitality or similar. Newly educated are also welcome to apply.
  • Higher education with good academic results
  • Good written and oral English and Norwegian communication skills
  • Service oriented and a “doer”
  • Experienced in planning events, both online and physical
  • Able to work both independently, and in a team environment
  • Ambitious and keen to learn
  • Interested in technology and startups
