About the job
Performs duties relating to the loading/unloading of aircraft, flight following, customs and cargo handling to ensure that company meets all company and governmental policies and regulations that customers receive quality service.
Responsibilities
- Track flight with first hand information on Estimated Time of Arrival/ Estimated Time of Delivery (ETA/ETD) and analyze necessary information to determine load plans and handle flight plan request
- Calculate weight and balance and monitor cargo build up/break down in warehouse
- Inspect aircraft cargo and identify unsafe and insecure cargo to address any problems and ensure adherence to aircraft, vehicle and employee safety rules and regulations
- Lead and coordinate with vendor or handlers of and provide directions on handling required, including supervision of loading and offloading, monitor ramp operations when aircraft on ground, etc.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of aircraft cargo documentation, HAZMAT loading paperwork, notify crew of location and, if necessary, obtain appropriate approvals prior to take-off
- Finalize meal order and cater for logistics arrangements for crew
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Diploma or above in any disciplines
- Knowledge in air freight, terminal operations, flight terminology and processes would be preferable
- Previous airline experience, with good understanding of aircraft positions and heights, aircraft weight limitations, aircraft overhangs, SITA, Unit Load Device (ULD) and flight systems, screens and software is an asset
- Ability to track and coordinate multiple issues simultaneously
- Good computer literacy and logical mindset
- Passion in aviation industry
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Able to attend night shift
