Preschool Lead Teacher

Leadership and Management:
Establish and oversee the daily operations of the classrooms you are assigned to;
Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the program being offered;
Participate in team meetings with the assistance and guidance of the Preschool Director;Curriculum director and admin staff
Research and maintain current best practices in ECE;
Thoughtful and creative implementation of Reggio Emilia, Project Approach work;
Communicate the Vision and Mission of Voyagers’ to staff, parents and community members.

Ongoing tasks for the Reggio InspiredToddler and Preschool programs:
Compose daily online communication posts and other correspondence;
Produce individual child and classroom documentation;
Assist in pursuing and maintaining accreditations;
Oversee the organization and aesthetic of each classroom environment;
Maintain systems and routines for tracking student progress and development;and interest in the curriculum
Assist in identifying developmental concerns and refer children for further evaluation when needed.

Professional Development
Collaborate with all school staff, parents and interns;
Coach and demonstrate best practices for interns, student teachers, associate teachers and aides;
Explore innovative teaching theories and practices through ongoing professional development opportunities;
Attend and present at professional development workshops and conferences;
Join professional organizations and remain cognizant if new trends and approaches to promoting preschool programs.when new trends and approaches are developed and bring these ideas back to the curriculum director;
Participate in formal evaluations of staff and internal staff PD days;

Qualifications
Associate degree in ECE required;
Bachelor degree in ECE desired;
Masters degree in education preferred;
Experience teaching in a progressive, constructivist, Reggio-Inspired ECE program welcomed
