The Manager of Digital Product Onboarding is responsible for strategically leading all efforts to list, maintain and improve the GT assortment online and create a cohesive assortment experience between the GT Stores and GT Digital for all departments. They serve as cross-functional liaison between Buying, Marketing, and Site Experience. They will lead the team responsible for managing product assortment in all departments on the website, including categorization, product page content and product associations. The Manager of Digital Product Onboarding audits product content quality and accuracy and facilitates on-time publishing of products to the site. The position is responsible for designing and improving multiple processes to support the digital product lifecycle from beginning to end. They will also create and communicate efficiency metrics, adjusting the processes to improve time to market or align with strategic business pivots.

Leadership and People Management

  • Manage a diverse team of ecommerce digital onboarding coordinators, catalogue associates, product copywriters
  • Make recommendations on resourcing requirements to scale with the business
  • Provide training and development while creating detailed documentation for workflows and processes
  • Provide prioritization guidance based on strategic business decisions or pivots
  • Develop a team of resourceful, efficient and flexible associates
  • Provide professional development of people and conduct annual reviews

Strategy, Planning and Reporting

  • Own the strategy, processes, and workflows for onboarding new products, categorization, attribute population and completeness
  • Stay up to date on best practices, standards, tools, new technologies and trends while also ensuring we are compliant with laws/regulations in all markets
  • Provide weekly and adhoc reporting that communicates the current state of our assortment onboarding pipeline, time to market and completeness metrics
  • Monitor and report on defined SLAs while continuously working on improvements
  • Support our private label digital product content strategy, working closely with our site experience and brand teams on voice & vision compliance
  • Design the product content strategy for third party integrations or partnerships (eg. Instacart, GS1 and Dropship Platform)
  • Partner with content agencies and vendors to develop a gold standard product information guideline

Execution

  • Extract and present insights from MMS, PLM and PIM
  • Collaborate with Site Health team to identify and reduce process or system inefficiencies
  • Collaborate with Buying and Site Experience to oversee the execution of seasonal and promotional go to market plans
  • Maintain digital product content collection spreadsheets and supplier portal
  • Update operating documents and style guides regularly with feedback from SEO and Content Optimization partners

Manager of Digital Product Onboarding Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Commerce, Communications or Business Administration
  • 5+ years ecommerce experience (Category Buying, Product Management, Marketing)
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Experience using item data management and site analytics tools (Product Information Management Tool, Google Analytics)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Primarily Excel)
  • Previous experience planning, monitoring and managing a budget
