Position Description
Operation Supervisor
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Enterprise Manager
Key Working Relations
Internal: KOTO staff
External: Customers, suppliers, Community service partners
PRIMARY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES
The Restaurant Supervisor will be expected to successfully manage and deliver on Staff management
Assist the Enterprise Manager in interviewing, selecting, and training, supervising, counselling and disciplining restaurant staff
– Provide clear instructions to staff
Observe performance and encourage improvement timely
Ensure staffing level is accurately based on restaurant business levels
Induct new staff/trainees and retrain all staff to ensure competencies and work efficiency are met
– Operation management
Set up and monitor the work rosters for all restaurant staff including front of house, kitchen, bar
Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate pertinent information to staff such as new menu, price changes…
Supervise the floor during operation time to ensure standards and steps of service are met through all guest interaction
Ensure checklists, requisitions, proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift
Ensure all Standard operating procedures (SOPs) are adhered to in the restaurant
Ensure food quality, safety and hygiene standards are met
Ensure the restaurant work equipment and facilities are well mainted.
Ensure all invoicing and paying standards are met.
– Customer satisfaction
Listen to customers, receive requests from them to cooperate with related functions to respond to ensure guest satisfaction
Handle guest complaints tactfully and immediately report to the higher management if not being able to settle the issues
Follow up to ensure the customers are satisfied with the restaurant services and propose any actions required.
– Sales and reservation
Answer guest emails, telephone calls and Facebook for any restaurant inquiries
Promote services and product to the customers
Identify prospective clients’ needs by questioning, observation
Follow up leads by finalizing details with clients and guests, make contracts and follow with function sheet
Issue Function sheet to all departments and follow up till the completion of the events/function
Maintain and update restaurant events calendar and reservation sheets
Ensuring that the sales address book contains guest profiles, company profiles & all relevant information
Other relevant tasks assigned

Experience and skills
Minimum 2 year-experience of restaurant experience in similar position
Exceptional communication and supervisory skills
Excellent skill to provide customer service and satisfaction
Organizing and time management skill
Ability to communicate in English
