About the role:

We have an exciting role available for a casual People Assistant to join our People Team. Reporting to the Group HR Manager your responsibilities will include behind the scenes support of administration tasks within the People & Compliance team. This includes a range of human resource & health and safety services with a focus on on-boarding retail & Support Office team members, system administration, and workers compensation premiums.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing timely and accurate administration support for on-boarding requirements for Support Office and retail team members.
  • Ownership of reviewing, accepting and maintaining our COVID-19 employee vaccination processes
  • Generate other employment related documents including jury duty, confirmation of employment, statement of services, employee timelines etc.
  • Maintain a range of HR documentation including letters of offer, variation of contracts, guides, policies, procedures, templates, organisation charts, reports and other documentation and ensure comprehensive records are kept for the function.
  • Maintaining current HR files and inbox databases including consolidating filing system.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated previous experience in Administration role
  • Experience working in a retail and/or hospitality business (Not necessarily within HR function)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft suite
  • Basic knowledge of the award
  • Strong communication skills both written and orally.
  • Excellent attention to detail including accurate, thorough and able to monitor work for quality.
  • Must be organized with strong time management skills
  • Dynamic and adaptable work ethic
  • Collaborative and strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to be dependable, follow instructions, respond to management direction.
