This opportunity has been created due to an internal promotion within the team, we are now looking to have a strong team player join us.

This role will suit you if you like working from home, we’ve been working 100% remotely since the beginning of covid and we have no plans to return regularly to the office – it’s worked well for us.

The People & Culture Business Partner engages with their client group, providing expert advice and coaching on every stage of the employment lifecycle as well as participating in strategic project work. You will develop a deep understanding of the business, balancing the people and commercial landscapes to focus on business outcomes and results.


  • Promote the Vision, Purpose and Values to ensure they are embedded throughout the organisation
  • Providing coaching and advice to your client group on people matters such as performance and conduct management, grievances and other day-to-day matters
  • Providing end to end recruitment support to your client group from role brief to onboarding stages
  • Supporting your client group through annual processes such as salary review, performance reviews, engagement survey and talent review
  • Working closely with the team on People & Culture projects, processes, systems and initiatives as well as facilitating training for your client group where required
  • Participating in People & Culture projects in line with your development interests
  • Providing advice on and interpretation of Awards and remuneration
  • Working closely with the People & Culture Co-ordinator on administration of the employee lifecycle and milestones in your client group
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with senior leaders through regular, open conversations that support business outcomes
  • Building leadership capability and self-sufficiency in your client group through coaching
  • Managing and mitigating risk of external litigation and reputational damage by working closely with key business stakeholders to ensure the business is compliant with legislation in areas pertaining to employees, such as ER, discrimination, EEO, bullying and harassment and preparing responses to applications to the Fair Work Commission for your client group
  • Working in partnership with senior leadership to strengthen the culture of Pickles through the delivery of People & Culture initiatives and role modelling the behaviours that underpin our culture


Key Experience & Skills

  • Pragmatic and action orientated with a background of effectively partnering with all levels across the business
  • An up and coming People & Culture Business Partner who enjoys both the strategic and hands-on operational activities
  • You will ideally have experience in the entire People & Culture remit as a strong generalist
  • Have owned diverse client groups and have experience supporting client groups of 200+ leaders and employees
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment that will have high energy levels and a positive, flexible and collaborative style
  • Down to earth with a sense of humour – we enjoy our work and we take it seriously, but we keep things in perspective
  • You communicate and think commercially, balancing the people and commercial landscapes to focus on business outcomes and results, not on People & Culture processes and jargon


  • Degree qualifications in human resources, business or similar is desirable but not essential
