The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join our Sales team at Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific. Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager for Mercedes-Benz Vans, the Pricing Analyst works closely with key business stakeholders to define and set our vehicle pricing for Mercedes-Benz Vans product line.
Key responsibilities
- Develop maintain pricing models
- Analyse of trends in sales funnel data and make data-driven pricing recommendations
- Competitor pricing analysis
- Stock analysis, to develop targeted campaigns to improve stock turn/reduce aged stock
- Monitor state and territory registration authority and CTP provider websites on a daily basis and update Tax Engine as required
- Monitor transaction pricing quotations, contracts and invoices and online store
- Report and present recommendations to key stakeholders/management
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required
What we are looking for
- Strong analytical skills and ability to represent large amounts of data in a simple and easy to understand way
- Robust understanding of key commercial, business and industry drivers in relation to pricing trends
- Sound MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Power BI (or other BI tools) and the automotive industry would be advantageous
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field of Commerce, Economics or Statistics and 2+ years relevant work experience is essential
