Apple Education is here to empower teachers to be the best they can be and to help students thrive through the use of Apple technology. The Education Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading strategic sales initiatives that drive the adoption of Apple technology into educational institutions across Thailand. The role requires working across K-12 and Higher Education, engaging with senior education leaders and policy makers in both the public and private education sectors. Through these strategic engagements you will develop plans that expand adoption of the Apple products and fuel the creative potential in every student. This role will be based in Thailand.
10+ years of experience in education or technology sales, with a consistent track record to meet and exceed sales goals preferably in Thailand or Southeast Asia
Experience with solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and an understanding of sophisticated sales cycles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate Apple Education Products strategy as well as Apple Value proposition.
Ability to establish relationships and influence at a C-level within the education sector
Able to go beyond the industry norm and demonstrate creativity in problem solving, ability to think dynamically and outside of standard convention, and adapt quickly to new technical areas
You are highly motivated and organized, work independently with strong time/territory management skills, analytical/problem solving skills
High level of ethics, values, integrity and trust
Business level proficiency in Thai and English
– As part of the Thailand education team you will bring to market worldwide and regional educational programs along with the development of tailored local initiatives that will support existing education customers as well as grow the install base.
– Demonstrate a deep understanding of education market trends and build strategies that are relevant to Thailand education.
– Understanding the interpersonal structure, decision-making process, and political considerations in the Thailand Education Sector.
– Understanding the needs and issues facing Apple’s Education customers
– Crafting sales opportunities and projects to increase sales and establish a dominant share position in Apple’s Education accounts, and presenting and selling 1:1 computing into the Education marketplace.
– Effectively articulating and communicating Apple’s education leadership messages.
– Applying Apple’s sophisticated sales methodology to find opportunities across accounts
– Build and maintain high quality relationships with best-in-class leaders at a government and institution level.
– Work with internal and external organisations to develop new and innovative growth opportunities, drive relevant market activities, and ultimately ensure sales through our partners.
– Supervise key performance indicators that support growth and enable forecasts on the overall health of territory plans to deliver results.
– Develop lighthouse accounts to be used as references across the region.

You focus on discovery of customer needs and desires. You can align all of this information and engage with a diverse set of customers.
Understand your partner: You have a deep understanding of the public/private Education sector and your partner. Your knowledge of historical trends helps you guide discussions when working with key decision makers on both sides of the table. You recognize the impact innovative projects have on the market and how they can impact the entire industry. You provide day-to-day support to your reseller partner(s) on pre-sale and end-to-end customer project implementations.
Run a business: Running a business requires much planning, collaboration, and work. You identify obstacles, both internally and externally, and implement solutions to tackle for them. You know how and when to engage internal Apple resources. You also observe and document the progress and status of projects to keep them on track ultimately to ensure customer and partner success.
Build account plans: Success is a result of careful planning. You know your partner’s goals as much as you know Apple’s. You use your outstanding understanding of both in order to set up “phenomenal outcome for everyone” for success. You grow your accounts by continuously analyzing, prioritizing, aligning, and crafting opportunities to grow together. Crafting your plan in a multi-stakeholder environment is just one piece of the overall account puzzle.
Develop offers and solutions: You are able to develop business cases for investments or value-based proposals that include Apple products, services, and partners. You know the market, competition, and related data, and can package up your strategy, proposal, or plan. You know who to work with to build it, and then present the plans and proposals to the customer or partner.
Tell the “Why Apple” story: Everything we build at Apple has a story. This means that you can expertly tell the why “Apple Story” and articulate the value we bring to our customers and partners. This includes your ability to articulate the importance we place on the customer experience and customer satisfaction and the impact that has on success. This includes your ability to articulate the role our technology has in redefining learning outcomes and driving deeper engagement within the classroom.
Influence and negotiate: Beliefs drive decision making—so you bring your ability to influence decisions by identifying and testing customer champions and gaining access to economic buyers. You work with strategic partners, resellers, and carriers to negotiate effectively to ensure that value is realized by the customer, Apple, and its partners.
Execute your plan: Success depends on your ability to get things done. You’re a collaborator both internally and externally and you know how to identify the key decision makers. You bring those skills to the table in order to keep projects on track by bringing the best people together. But this is just the beginning—you know the importance of supervising success and adapting to changing business needs and priorities.
