Sales Executive, Esports


About the job

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the commercial partnership sales of Esports properties worldwide.
  • Source, negotiate and sell IMG’s portfolio of Esports rights.
  • Provide direct sales support across the IMG Esports business: Brand partnerships, Media rights, Account management and Events & operations
  • Develop and continue relationships with clients and rightsholders IMG media represent in the market
  • Coordinate with other international sales executives, (e.g. contracts and payments) and stakeholders in IMG offices worldwide.
  • Support senior commercial staff with developing strategy and structuring negotiations with customers on behalf of domestic and international clients.
  • Support senior commercial team with new business strategy.
  • End to end management of the projects between customers and rightsholders.
  • Serves as the day-to-day contact, managing the relationship between IMG and the customers.
  • Manages research requests on behalf of clients
  • Other duties that are within the scope of the role may be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Solid sales background and experience.
  • Previous knowledge of sales processes.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, sometimes demanding, business.
  • Understanding of the media & sponsorship industry
  • Knowledge of Sports is advantageous
  • Familiarity with dealing with reports, presentations other business documents.
  • Good knowledge of Gaming/ eSports.
  • Technical delivery of content.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • High standard of written and spoken English, including accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation of written work.
  • Develops best practices and refines established operating standards to best service specific customers.
  • Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan or prior precedents set.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement, suggest logical solutions to problems and make informed decisions.
  • Capable of delivering presentations to senior management.
  • Provides technical guidance to junior employees, colleagues and clients.
  • An effective leader with strong people management skills and ability to excel in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to build long lasting working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to self-direct and motivate and work with minimal supervision
  • A strong team player that is flexible dependent on business demand
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work calmly under pressure whilst meeting deadlines

Working Conditions

  • This is a permanent position.
  • Please note this role will be based at our offices in Chiswick Park, London.
  • Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
  • Weekend work may be required and travel to events in line with the Esports portfolio.
  • Outside of event travel and travel to meetings will form part of the role.
