About The Role:

The Senior Procurement Capability Officer leads or supports the development of significant whole of government or strategic capability building initiatives across all streams of procurement. This role is also responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of capability development programs and activities that promote the strategic objectives of the Department and providing advice and information, as well as undertaking extensive stakeholder engagement both within the Department and across the sector, on capability development strategies and initiatives.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be an excellent relationship manager, with the ability to engage with Executive level staff, subject matter experts, agency staff and contracted providers, and analyse the outcomes of discussions to define problems and propose customer centric solutions. You will be proactive and flexible, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently as well as juggle multiple projects and tasks, whilst maintaining an awareness of the bigger picture. We are looking for a strong communicator, who can succinctly summarise complex ideas and present influential arguments both in writing and verbally. You will be aware of procurement in the WA public sector or be able to quickly develop foundational knowledge in this space, to enable you to work with key stakeholders.
