Your role will be to concept, visually communicate, manage and execute exciting, innovative and on brand photoshoots for sales events, editorial stories and marketing campaigns. You will assist with daily studio operations and devise interior styling advice for Temple & Webster customers in collaboration with editorial and marketing departments, along with presenting to camera for video content that will inspire, surprise and delight our customers across all business and consumer touch points.

What we’re looking for:

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Day to day set up and execution, and conception of photo shoots
  • Liaising with Buying team to ensure merchandising vision is carried out
  • Communicating with Photographer to ensure the entire shot list of each shoot is being delivered, or initiate discussion with stakeholders if otherwise
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team (when required) to implement content creation and the styling of projects, ensuring the messages and initiatives remain as per brief
  • Devise and write editorial advice for Temple & Webster customers in collaboration with the editorial and marketing departments
  • Liaising with Head of Styling and Design department to ensure concepts work harmoniously with the Temple & Webster brand
  • Mentoring of styling interns and assistants
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts, making sure the integrity of the Temple & Webster brand is represented and upheld
  • Constantly keeping a watchful eye on competitors and other retail/media. organisations, to ensure that the visual styling of Temple & Webster is always category leading
  • Pre visualization of styling plans and set designs
  • Organization, maintenance, and processing of sample stock, ensuring that stock is properly labelled, photographed and logged, and sent back to suppliers without damage
  • Communication with the studio team to ensure effective processes can be met when it comes to sourcing and props collection
  • To the best of your ability, ensure samples delivery is on time for the scheduled shoot and that samples are ready for warehouse pick up upon completion of shoot
  • Scouting and scouring for potential new props, surfaces, and other studio styling enhancements that may benefit the Creative team

What you already have

  • Tertiary qualifications in styling, interior decoration or design, or visual merchandising
  • Minimum two years industry experience as a lead stylist (publishing/agency/retail)
  • Strong portfolio and experience in photographic interiors styling, interior design or decoration
  • Competent in visual communication of styling plans and set designs
  • A well-honed eye developing in areas such as concepting, composition, process, execution
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in digital communication programs such as Word, Excel, Power point, Google communications suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and write copy a plus.
  • Highly organized and process driven, with exceptional problem solving skills both in creative fields, shoot production and project management
  • Proven ability to work in fast paced environments across multiple shoots, deliver on deadlines and maintain a high quality of deliverables
  • Experience in social media content creation is a plus
