Job Description:
- Review project/product requirements and preparing test cases
- Execute manual tests on product/application usability
- Prepare reports on all aspects related to the testing carried out and reporting to the development team
- Participate in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
- Prepare test cases and test data
- Prepare and present test reports
- Develop test plan, test strategy
- Participate in the review and analyze the project requirement to understand test objectives, provide input on the test-ability of requirements and estimation for the testing activities
- Develop the test plan, test strategy
- Assist in the planning, creation, and control of the test environment(s)
- Develop manual test cases and prioritize testing activities
- Execute all the manual test case, performance test, and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect
- Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures
- Transfer knowledge, monitor engagement team performance and provide feedback on the team.
Your Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 year of experience with web application testing
- Sound knowledge on Blackbox and Whitebox testing
- Understanding of manual, performance testing – expertise in manual test tools and frameworks
- Must have functional and non-functional testing experience
- Log defects and track to closure, working with development teams to establish defect validity, cause, and retesting as required
- Develop test plans/ test cases and estimates for assigned effort
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience on API/ Web Service (WCF service, Web API), desktop applications and mobile devices testing
- Experience in DB testing and in writing simple to medium-complexity SQL queries
- Detailed-oriented, systemic thinking, patient
- Fluent English speaking is a plus
- Knowledge of using tools like TFS, Microsoft Test Manager
- Knowledge of OOPs concepts
- Understanding of non-functional testing and experience in performance testing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.
