About the job


Under the direction of the Wellness and Employee Benefits Distribution Communication Director, the Wellness and Mind Health Manager is tasked with managing the activities and initiatives under the AXA Workplace Wellness Program and liaising with clients on their implementation across worksites.


This position is responsible for developing strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for workplace wellness promotion programs, policies and services. Key job functions include:

  • To maintain collaborative relationships with AXA colleagues, community partners including suppliers, NGOs and academic institutions, as well as corporate clients, to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to workplace wellness for employees.
  • To develop a workplace wellness strategy based on evidence-based research and best practices across the continuum of total well-being. This will include offering a comprehensive plan for transforming workplace wellbeing. The plan will be designed to help:
    • eliminate barriers
    • build more supportive and inclusive workplace environments and attract and retain staff to participate in the program
    • reduce and eliminate stigma surrounding employee mental health issues
    • promote a safe, nurturing workplace environment for staff
  • To implement and analyse staff mental health and wellbeing surveys that:
    • provide baseline data and follow-up health data
    • identify program needs and priorities
    • evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services and track trends in employee mental health status and behaviour
  • To develop and launch programs and initiatives for workplace wellbeing promotion and education including talks, health fair and lunch & learns as well as target specific interventions and create program initiatives to support the specific challenges of diverse staff groups and communities
  • To promote our total wellness solution in the workplace including physical and mental health, disease management and prevention
  • Market the workplace wellness program. Raise the profile of the program through frequent social media postings.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelors degree in health science, public administration, social science, or other related field.
  • 5 to 8 years’ of work experience in event management & planning with 2-3 years’ work experience in the health field or experience in the mental health field preferred.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, partners, employees and the management team
  • Work in a team environment and be a self-starter when working independently
  • Detailed, organized and creative
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with exceptional social media engagement skills
  • A strong sense of self and the ability to make decisions in a variety of situations
  • Highly developed understanding of mental health and wellbeing, standards, and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Ability to adapt to new technology
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure and handle tense and stressful situations
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills. High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
