An Account Coordinator coordinates the day to day activities of the Agency on behalf of a client’s product or service. You will be responsible for the preparation of internal briefs and the timely completion of assignments. Under the direction of the wider account service team you are also expected to present and gain acceptance for work created and produced by the Agency.

Your primary focus is to support your lead account and team across their key clients although there may be with opportunities to work on other clients as appropriate. From time to time you may have the opportunity to work with other parts of the agency as workload and resource allocation requires.

What will a day in the role look like?

  • Become knowledgeable of the product category in which their Client operates. This includes competitive activity, research, industry information and all other sources of information, which will allow them to prepare meaningful analyses of the market and opportunities, as they relate to Agency planning on the account.
  • In collaboration with the Business Director, you would prepare briefs based on Client input for the Agency to undertake work on behalf of a Client.
  • Maintain control over all internal activity on projects within a given group of clients. This includes the writing of contact reports/status reports, job start orders, estimates/quotations, budget control, job closing and the preparation of material for charging. This requires excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Gain an understanding of and contribution to the financial performance of your account including minimising time write offs and on-charging externals, always ensuring estimates are up to date and approved by the client.
