Your role

As a Business Development partner in Thailand, you will be responsible for leading the market development of LIMEX* in Thailand. The ideal candidate has a proven experience marketing and promoting materials to molding companies and product users of films, bags, and other packaging products. Although this is initially a business development role, we are looking for a candidate who can grow into the role of the Country Representative.

*LIMEX is a new material made from limestone and inorganic materials that can become an alternative to plastic and paper. TBM has supplied LIMEX to over 8,000 customers in Japan and is now expanding globally with the initial focus on Asia.

How you’ll support TBM’s success

  • Leverage your understanding of and connections to local molding companies and product users (films, bags, packaging products) to build and implement business development strategies
  • Conduct research on the local plastic industry including but not limited to the films, bags, and packaging markets, and construct hypotheses to build a marketing strategy
  • Provide excellent account management/support that ensures client happiness, de-risks renewals, increases referrals, and improves margin
  • Collaborate across teams to solve problems and improve our product offering
  • Onboard and manage business development and sales members as we grow

What You’ll Need

  • Deep understanding of compound, masterbatch, and/or resins, with 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Connections to molding companies and product users (films, bags, and packaging products)
  • Ability to promote/pitch new materials and solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages
  • Experience in export/import operations is a plus
