Cross Border Ecommerce – Seller Acquisition / Business Development


Job Description

  • Becoming trusted partner for sellers wishing to sell to Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and other fast-growing markets by a deep understanding of Shopee’s regulations, market-specific trends, and thorough understanding of the e-commerce industry and its competitive landscape
  • Responsible for approaching and persuading sellers with solid recommendations on market/category selection and marketing campaigns, both offline and online and domestic/international brands in Korea
  • Analysing category sales performance, strategise assortment strategy, and grow the category with the team by strategically handpicking potential sellers
  • Working closely with various key partners in Korea to onboard together new sellers, which will include prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing agreements with partners
  • Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and improving the performance of key partners to measure and manage their channel efficiency to deepen partnership
  • Developing and managing processes with both internal and external stakeholders to help make the campaigns a more meaningful part of Shopee business
  • Responsible for liaising with the local market team to generate the most effective marketing plan (in-app marketing packages) suitable for various seller size for business success in Shopee


  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales objectives using a solution-focused, action biased and creative approach
  • Ability to create your own path and to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Entrepreneurship and ability to add value by driving initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship management skills backed with analytical skill
  • Work well with cross-functional teams in a pressured environment maintaining a positive, team-player mindset
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills to manage and negotiate with various partners
  • Relevant academic/ professional background is advantageous (e-commerce, retail, business development)
  • Strong data management ability or willingness to learn for process optimisation is highly preferred
