About the role

The role requires a dynamic, results driven lead to build a new team within our enhanced weathering department. The Operations Partner will be required to develop an innovative business model whereby FFC enables partner companies to use their own assets, infrastructure and contacts to generate very significant global removals of carbon dioxide. This role is responsible for the development of the commercial model, building the operational procedures and then hiring a team to deliver.

What will you do

  • Identifying potential partners and building a business case
  • Building relationships worldwide
  • Securing contracts with new or existing commercial partners
  • Developing the operational protocols for partner-enabled enhanced weathering
  • Enabling partners to conduct enhanced weathering operations, including advising on operational design, enduring monitoring, and data transfer
  • Developing and advising on how to interact most effectively with partners, including the design of any bespoke software or websites
  • Managing a cross-functional team of specialists

About you:

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in academia, with experience in supporting research projects in a high growth environment. This opportunity would suit a candidate working within a start up or stand alone role, with a keen interest and desire to fight climate change.


  • Experience in the extraction sector, ideally mining or aggregates
  • The ability to build a new business model
  • Strong commercial knowledge of the extraction sector
  • A good operational mind, capable of building robust protocols and procedures
  • Great communication skills
  • The willingness to work in a fast-growing startup environment


  • Project management experience
  • ILM/CIM/L6/7 Leadership qualification

  • Salary dependent on experience, up to £55k – £65k depending on experience
