Minimum qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in ethnic studies, education/educational policy, data science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience, including 5 years of experience in data-driven strategy and integration.
  • Experience building learning design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD or a scholarly publication record.
  • Experience integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles into the leadership development curriculum.
  • Multi-disciplinary background.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends around learning science, technical platforms for blended learning design, and effective measurement of leadership development.
  • Understanding of key business drivers and products across functions to identify training needs with customers and business leaders.
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence for building credibility and collaborative relationships.

About The Job

As the Inclusion Learning and Development Strategist, you will support the data-driven execution, alignment, and integration of a programming portfolio around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. You will have the overall responsibility of ensuring data-informed alignment and integration throughout the development and execution of an inclusion-learning strategy to accelerate a culture of belonging across Google. You will employ global, intersectional, and localized lenses on the issues of racism, racial injustice, and racial equity. You will play an essential role in advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive Google. You will execute strategic alignment, integration, and assessment of our programs within our team’s programming portfolio and across our cross-functional collaborations while mapping everything we do onto broader strategic priorities.

  • Translate domain expertise, data, metrics, and analytics into portfolio alignment, integration, and progression for increased engagement, behavior change, and business impact.
  • Contribute to and execute alignment and integration of inclusive learning strategies and plans, and apply DEI domain expertise, critical pedagogy tools, creativity, problem-solving, and inclusive design methods to ensure the development of innovative learning solutions to meet complex user and business needs.
  • Develop inclusive assessments and program-specific survey measurement questions.
  • Prototype and iterate on design based domain expertise, global and intersectional lens of race and racism, data, user testing, and feedback, and gather, analyze, and address metrics, participant feedback, and reporting to ensure high-quality and efficient learning solutions.
  • Understand trends and research in DEI, inclusive and critical pedagogies, learning design, and leadership development and apply them to execute against Google’s racial equity commitments.
