A key support role in the Product organization and functionality of the Publishing Operations & Communications team which is critical in the operational management of the Research business, the Journal Operations Assistant supports the administration of such operational tasks for a set portfolio of journals. The Journal Operations Assistant reports to the Senior Manager, Journal Operations, who has direct responsibility for the projects being tracked by the team and sets the day-to-day tasks of the Journal Operations Assistant. The Journal Operations Assistant has the ability to work effectively across regional and team boundaries and to facilitate centralized efforts to maintain product-level data and standardization of workflows.
How you will make an impact:
- By standardizing our journal infrastructure through activities such as Wiley Online Library maintenance, Author Guidelines updates, publishing data auditing, and assisting in transfer activities.
- Provide operational support for annual journal activities through coordinating updates for journal pricing, Publisher’s reports, and annual accounts.
- Assist in efforts to implement programs across the Research business that enhance our journal portfolios and reduce time and costs for the business.
- Support colleagues, both within and outside the business unit, to take action toward achieving business group / organization goals.
