The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration of two years. At the end of the initial two-year contractual period, there are good prospects for conversion from a fixed-term to an open-ended employment contract. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
Foundations are important partners for Welthungerhilfe on the way to #zerohunger. They often fund innovative measures as well as projects that are not in the focus of public attention. Beyond their financial contribution, they are also valuable professional companions. Together with you in your role as Team Lead Foundations, we would like to further optimize and expand already successful collaborations – especially internationally.
Your responsibilities
You will create the framework for successfully retaining existing foundation partners and attracting new foundations by:
- professionally leading and motivating your team
- managing the resources of your team
- directly supporting foundations with annual donations in a six- to seven-figure range
- planning and implementing concepts and marketing measures for german and international foundations
- identifying topics relevant to foundations and preparing them for target groups
- developing innovative support formats with colleagues in Germany and abroad (e.g. in the area of digital projects)
- following trends in the foundation market and derive relevant measures
- always keeping an eye on the business figures to identify potentials
Your profile
- A university or polytechnical degree or a comparable qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience e.g. in key account management, development aid, foundations or fundraising
- Analytical and strategic way of thinking, as well as the ability to inspire and convince people
- Creativity and independent, proactive working style
- Willingness to travel
- Very good manners and the ability to confidently represent Welthungerhilfe externally
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken German and English
